Outline
This chapel, located at Eiwa College, was built in 1999 and has 784 seats. Services, consisting of chorus with organ followed by a sermon delivered by the minister, are held everyday. Because of the composition of the bench seats, V/N is very small. The reverberation time in the unoccupied condition is 2.3s, but it reduces to 1.3s in the occupied condition. There is no problem of speech intelligibility of the sermon, but lack of reverb is a problem for the chorus. By using an AFC system, the optimum acoustics for the chorus was realized without affecting the speech intelligibility of the sermon.
